Alex Ju, Ph.D.
FOUNDER, CEO
He worked for Advanced Micro Devices and Spansion in Sunnyvale CA for 16 years in technical and managerial capacities before he founded UbiMOS Technologies in 2007. During early 1990’s, he worked for LG Semicon in Korea as a memory R&D executive and before that he worked at Honeywell for VHSIC technology development.
In 2007, he founded Ubimos Technologies in San Jose, CA to provide outsourced engineering services to startups, fabless companies and IDMs in Silicon Valley and across US. In recent years, he steered UbiMOS business focus toward technology IP development and transformed UbiMOS to an OTP memory IP company.
He received Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis MN, MS in EE from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Seoul, Korea and BS in electronics engineering from the Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea. He is the lead or co-inventor of more than 30 US patents and is the inventor of the ATOM bit cell.
Ed Boling, Ph.D.
VP of Engineering
His fields of expertise include IC design in CMOS, SOI, and CCD technologies down to the 28nm process node, concentrating on analog and mixed signal designs. He also has experience in the design of flash memory cells, arrays, and drive circuits. He has served as a technical program manager and can test and evaluate IC systems and devices.
His professional experience includes employment with Culvert Engineering Solutions, Campbell, CA as a principal analog design engineer, with EJB Consulting, Fremont, CA as a consultant for design and testing of IC circuits, with SuVolta, Inc., Los Gatos, CA as a principal analog design engineer, with Alien Technology Corp., Morgan Hill, CA as a senior staff engineer for IC Design and testing for a series of RFID devices using ultra low power CMOS, and with Image Quest Technologies, Fremont, CA as a VP and the head of a group responsible for flat panel display development.
Edward holds a Ph.D. degree in solid-state physics from the Temple University, Philadelphia, PA and a B.S. degree in physic from the Saint Joseph’s University,
Philadelphia, PA.
